I have an "Opus" amp on the operating table with a broken mosfet. It is an Exicon 10P20 (10a 200v TO3 package). I have 10P16 (not enough volts) and 20P20 (too many amps) in stock and hoardes of Hitachi J56/K176 which DONT play nice with Exicons (they need to have the same amount of oar in the water as 5 others). Anyone know where I can find the (no longer made) Exicons?.

I have traced a good neighbouring device on a Peak DCA75 and found as near as dammit to a SML BUZ906 (who SML are I dunno) and wildly different to a Hitachi 2SJ56 (which looks like an entirely different device) so unless a better option comes along, the SML goes in there,
Agreed - this was sloppily expressed. The issue being that the P20 is a double dice device and I'm not sure how well it would play with its single dice P10 neighbours.
You can half the gate resistor value on the double die to adjust for extra capacitance.
Or use both devices as 20 types.
