Hi. I'm looking at a possible GB for power MOSFET EXICON ECW20N20/ECW20P20. These superb power lateral MOSFET (200W, 16A, TO264) can be used in small to more powerfully power amps, such as Goldmund amps. Look at the kind of amp we can build with them (images from Quanghao amp), an other of my upcoming project 😀
Take note that I'm not related to the original Quanghao amp project. These images are available on this forum. They are shown only as an example.
They are available from Profusion in Europe: ECW20N20 - Plastic Lateral Mosfet
Prices break are, and are sold in standard tube of 25 (Better)
QUANTITY 1+ 10+ 25+ 100+ 250+ 500+
usd 13.34 9.67 8.50 7.49 6.94 6.53
If there is interest we can get together, get a better price, and I could provide match service for a fee.
To get significant discount and have enough parts for matching, I'm guessing that at least a quantity of 100 of each is a minimum... Hence we probably need at least 5-10 members for this GB.
Even if there is no interest I'll probably end up buying 25 of each for me...
Thanks for looking
SB

I took part in the group buy for the alfet dual die latFETs a couple of years ago.
I am only now starting to use them in a new amplifier. 6pairs required for the stereo Power Amp. Leaves me with 14pairs for other projects.
I can't remember what we paid at that time.

Bump. From time to time I received request from other members about my previous Exicon GB. Guys that would be the time to express your interest now, or in 6 months you'll get the same answer, I bought my own MOSFET, and the GB never happened...
Thanks

Thanks

Wondering if you could not replace them with those excellent ALFet instead?
ALF16N16W SEMELAB, MOSFET Transistor, N Channel, 16 A, 160 V, Newark element14 Canada
I use these in the USSA5 amplifier from Fab and they're excellent. I have not compared the specs though...

From what I've read in other posts here in DIYAudio, the Exicon and Semelab offers are pretty much the same part, just rebranded. The pricing mentioned in the first post is also quite a bit more competitive than the one in Newark.
@Algar_emi :
Chalk me down for interest for 8 pcs each for both N and P parts.
Well it did work. Hmmm...
Lets try this. Copy and paste the code here.
Edit. Works. (don't ask me why)

Yes, that works.
But, that is expensive. Farnell are even dearer.
I don't know what I paid for my 20 pairs, but the GB would have been much cheaper to get me interested.

Here we are starting a list of interested members. Just add your name to the list:
Algar_emi: 25 pairs of each N & P
taisho_daniel : 8 pairs
luvdunhill: Interested, but for how many?

Hi. I just got a super intelligent curve tracer, planning to do my own matching, and I'll certainly do matching for my own use, so yes matching may well be offered. Considering that K1058 & J162 are getting harder to get, this is a great opportunity!
Algar_emi: 25 pairs of each N & P
taisho_daniel : 8 pairs
luvdunhill: 10 pairs
Total: 43 pairs, just need an extra 7 pairs to get 2x 25 (standard tube quantity)
Thanks
