I think you'll have better luck getting a response if you explain in more detail what it is you're trying to do. The SP12B was normally used with a tweeter like the T35 horn tweeter and would at the very least require a cap crossover.
Are you running the EV in a bookshelf speaker or are you running it separately and want to add a bookshelf speaker for the top? What range do each cover? Do you plan to use subs as well?
The only tweeter I know of that might not need a cap would be a piezo electric tweeter and they're normally not known for their sound quality. Putting the full range signal through a tweeter tends to make it an ex-tweeter pretty fast. That being said, try running it by itself, you might not need a tweeter.
