I don't see any headers for external Avcc supplies.

You can have your own hypothesis but this is a tested practical design and works out flawlessly in terms of audio reproduction. This dual mono board sounds much better than a single ES9018 dac. I have made both of them.
Yes, there is no separate headers for AVCC supplies but still you can give external AVCC supplies by removing the four ICs which are meant for providing the AVCC supplies. Also you can desolder the current clock and give your external clock. IR remote controls the entire operation of the DAC, volume level adjustment, filter selection, everything.
have a look at the 'success' of heartwinter's 8741 and 9023 boards and you'll see why this thread isn't a hive of activity like other ES9018 related threads 😉
