Erse indictors vs. Copper Foil Air Core Inductors?

Are the air core copper foil inductors worth the money when compared to the Erse "Super Q" inductors? I don't want build the baffle step correction circuit twice. Opinions are definately needed. Thanks.

Hmmm......

This is really a discussion of iron core vs air core, and this is
usually decided by the trade off of low DCR for iron core vs
superior saturation but higher DCR of air core.

Then you can argue about the superiority of foil versus wire.

TBH IMO there is no definitive answer, it depends on the
exact application of the inductor. For a BSC circuit the
DCR will affect the Q of the bass alignment ( hence the
Super Q moniker for the low DCR Erse inductors ) :

🙂 sreten.

The flat inductors or very very good as Bill stated since the DCR is very low. The impedance characteristics are different than wire inductors, however you will find that a litz wire inductor is also very good.

In a switchmode power supply the coupling performance is so good with a flat power inductor it can switch to fast. So wen it switch so fast it leave more ring in the out put. So in high power applications they can have lower capacitance and lower DCR. That equal a better responce. 🙂
