Apart from about 20% of the perimeter of the picture which is okay, the image has a brown / green hue. It's as though the exploded bulb blew some residue somewhere it shouldn't.

Has anyone ever heard of this or got any ideas of what I can do to try and fix it.

No the bulb I'm now using is a BRAND NEW replacement bulb (cos the other one exploded!). The brown stuff, I believe, was caused by the previous bulb as it exploded.

I'm NOT sure however whether the residue is on the LCD chip, the back of the lens, or whatever. How can I tell, and how can I clean it?!

Sorry to ask, but can this be moved again to DIY projectors. It's not exacly DIY but there will be lots of people there who will be able to help with this sort of problem and its more about projectors than 'general video'.. In contrast this forum has only had 2 replies all month. Quite keen to sort this problem out sooner etc. Thanks!
