Hi, have a Dukane 663 OHP, and blew both bulbs, so ordered some EYB's. Now I just realized that it's meant for ENX's (i had ENX's in before, they blew). From what I've been able to find out, the only difference between the two is that ENX's have the built-in curved reflector.
The EYB bulbs work...but they smell 😛 Perhaps I should not be using them?
Are there ANY other differences? The OHP says right on it:
"(82v-360w ENX) ONLY"
Thanks guys,

I know the enx has that reflector on it, I dont think you would get very good results with the eyb since it does not have a reflector. I used an FXL 410watt 82volt bulb to replace my enx
in my old elmo. It worked fine and boosted the output a bit.
I dont think I would keep running the EYB, especially if your getting a bad smell, thats usually not a good sighn.
Heres a decent price on that FXL:

The FXL bulb has a higher lumen output because it is 410watt vs.
360watts of the ENX. Actual overhead projector output depends on how the optics in your projector are desighned, but usually the FXL will be in overheads that are 4000 lumen output and the ENX bulbs are usually in overheads that are 2800-3200 lumens.
Every little bit helps when you are doing projection. the reflector on the on the ENX/FXL style bulbs are specifically desighned to work with the overhead projector you have.
Without the reflector you are loosing efficency.
