Energy 22 Reference/Pro diy x-over project

Hello, I bought in 1984 a pair of loudspeaker ENEREGY 22 REFERENCE (front baffle hole) at ''La Stéréofolie'' in Montréal for 1050$...plus taxes. The best purchases of my life. I still own these speakers and enjoy every db that comes out of them. In the past 10 years I acquired two pairs of PRO 22 (rear baffle hole) second hand of course for very little money compare to the price I pay 41 years ago as a backup for the tweeters that are prone to fail. So far so good, all six tweeters work seemlessly. (the secret is to drive them with very good muscle amplifier as they are not sensitive, 86db spl). Six month ago, I saw on Kijiji.ca a pair of REFERENCE 22 built in 1989 (last production year) in pristine condition and guest what...yes, 300$ later and they where mine. I know, I'm a bit crazy but hey, it's my only weakness...or maybe not. Anyway, all eight speakers share the same drivers, same cabinet sizes and crossover (except one resistor value shown in the picture below for the 1989 edition). For many decades and until now, I was not aware or familiarized I should say about the role played by a passive crossover, assuming that it would not make too much difference. Well, I could not be so wrong! It makes an audible difference if you have a good amplifier and a decent listening room. Being a handy guy and having all the required tools, I rebuilt from scratch the crossover for my two REFERENCE speakers with success! I also changed the speaker binding post as well as the internal wired. (Cu/Ag 12awg). A picture is worth a thousand words. Check it out below...
