Hi there,
I am about to try and mount a DL 102 into a EMT TSD G headshell and I notice that the cartridge mounting pads on the headshell are of a different height. This does not seem to be a fault but as per design. Anybody any idea why this is? Not a big problem to reso😕lve by use of a washer or two I am sure. Just curious??
thanks..

Perhaps someone at Vinyl Engine | The Home of the Turntable or the audio asylum would have an idea. Sounds odd, but perhaps the original EMT cartridge for this shell had offset mounts? I've never seen one so this is all speculation on my part.
In fact, the EMT TSD-G headshell allows stylus azimuth adjustment.
To mount a non-EMT cartrige in the TSD-G shell, you need a kit consisting of the following accessories:
- 1 spring washer
- 1 plexi strip
- 2 washers 2,6 mm
- 1 mounting screw M 2,6 x 5,5 mm
- 1 mounting screw M 2,6 x 5 mm
See attachment for drawing and (German) text.
