As I have mentined in the past, I have been looking forward to
the release of the Eminence Deltalite series, the ones with the neodymium magnets, low weight, and maybe different sound in the way that some prefer alnico over ferrite. The response graph looks good and flat on their website.
Well, I got the parameters here:
http://editweb.iglou.com/eminence/eminence/pages/products02/neo/neo2515.htm
and when I try to model it in Win ISD pro I seem to need about a 500 liter cabinet to get decent low end response. Does anyone see a mistake in these specs? Can you model it successfully?
Thanks

Hi Variac,
I played around with these for a while and couldn't find a suitable box size for them. The Deltalite 12 models up quite nicely though. Did you determine if the give parameters were correct? Jerrod

Nope:
It's Fs of 41, Vas of 10 Ft³ and Qts of 0.52 means that you should put it in a box considerably larger than 10 Ft³.
There is no way to get anywhere near an F3 of 40 Hz in a 4 Ft³ with this speaker, ported or not. I honestly don't know what these specs would fit in well with, except perhap using it as a sealed speaker with an 80 Hz F3 or as a highly sensitive Dipole.
As you know, Eminence makes speakers that fit better in a 4 Ft³ box.
