To no surprise do cheap, low quality gear come with the lowest quality power supply and shortest possible cables! So I am now the "happy" owner of a mid cable power supply that have to be on my table, way to near my scope and other gear.
Is it possible to buy / make a enclosure that reduce the EMI or maybe almost eliminate them?

oftentimes a choke on the input of the power supply helps reduce EMI and RFI, the output of the supply can then be post-filtered
for shielding, aluminum is pretty much useless, but you can avail yourself of the steel in bimetallic food tins and it is excellent. i have a low noise amplifier housed in an Irish Oatmeal tin which is completely impervious to 60Hz (50 in DK) induced energy -- down to 500 picoVolts per root Hertz!
The good folks who manufacture and sell muShield suggest these tweaks before spending a bundle on their product.

Yes the choke would be a great solution but it's one of those black plastic power supply's that you get with cheap products. You plug it into the outlet and a thin wire goes to the unit. And it's still under guarantee so not much to do about it, right now.
Your idea on using a tin can, sounds great. But maybe would a bigger box be better, since I expect to get an USB hub with a psu, maybe a camera, also with a psu and properly other gear.
What would you recommend there, I do in no way mind, if I have to use more then one box inside an other, as long I get rid of as much noise a possible. 🙂
