Hi,
Firstly I don't own an electric guitar. 🙁
Problem:- I have compared a track with a lot of electric guitar on two DAC's , and they both sound completely different. One dac sounds like the guitar needs a good tuning.
I've checked out this site for guitar sound:http://eserver.bell.ac.uk/staff/keddier/SpectrumAnalysis/e_guit.htm
dac1= tda1543 I/V NOS
dac2= QED digit (saa7323 internal IV with NE5532 buffer)
-dac1 is alright, not as much resolution as dac2 but electric guitar sounds ok. dac1 treble isn't the best, and I don't think my tweeters like it too much (occasional distortion).
-dac2 has good bass, and soundstage but electric guitar sounds a bit funny to my ears! It's annoying because most of my cd's have guitar!
Has anyone else had problems with reproducing electric guitar ?
Kind regards,
Ashley.

Shame I don't have a phono to 3.5mm lead to hand 🙁
Hopefully next week I will be able to find the problem!
Cheers,
Ashley.
