EL 84 se triode wired

Just built my mk.2 version of the "Attitube" el84se with e88cc tube. This time i added an input selector, and its much easier to change between the different sources. Have some output tranformers from my first version and I wonder if I should build a pentode wired el84se/6p14p se.
Have some 6j5/6s2s that I want to use as driver/input tubes.
Are there any schematics out in www with these tubes, or are there anyone who can give me some advice? Here are some picture of my "Attitube" mk.2 Have a tube-ish and a nice weekend to all of you out there! Have problems uploading my pictures. Will try again later. Sorry folks!

I suggest that you consult the tube manual for the EL84 to determine operating points that conform to your power supply voltages. Then consult the tube manual for 6J5 operating points and connect the two together with a capacitor. Separate the two stages power supply voltages with a resistor and a capacitor and you are about done.

stenak,

I agree with Palustris.

I found your Attitube schematic.
Triode wired, and no feedback.

With the EL84 in pentode mode, the power out can be larger, but the damping factor will be much lower,
and the distortion will be greater.
You will probably want to use negative feedback.
But with what you have, it will be easy to build, and then decide if you want negative feedback.

Hi Stenak, I did many times EL84 in triode connection, I would suggest to try RH84 as it brings benefits of both pentode power and triode sound in one! It's easy to try once you have your amp built, just change some passive parts... happy building!
