Just hold on a little longer until the James Webb Space Telescope is operational!
It will be one of the most powerful exoplanet hunters ever.
A significant part of its mission is to study the atmosphere around Earth-like planets.
Plus, it’ll search for biosignatures - gases associated with past or present life.

Like methane?
Will it allow us to detect previous gaseous emanations from prior beings?
My wife hates those, especially the ones on Sunday morning.

A quick google reveals:
"These sixteen biosignature gases are acetaldehyde, acetone, benzene, carbon disulfide, dimethyl disulfide, dimethyl sulfide, dimethyl sulfoxide, ethanol, ethyl mercaptan, fluoroacetone, isoprene, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl mercaptan, methyl vinyl ketone, thioglycol, and toluene."
Detectability of biosignature gases in the atmospheres of terrestrial exoplanets
Amazing what the end results of consuming a Lamb Vindaloo can be! 😀

Not really, the name itself is like a spoiler alert: Wind-a-Loo...
You might think so but IMHO we already went past that peak.Medical advances are allowing persons live a lot longer now.
I believe you got to be fit&moving AND have medicine to live long.
My grandpa got to 96, I might too if I´m lucky?
But when I look at the kids today, most of them are so overweight in their teens already, they will hardly be able to walk with 50 and age like milk rather than become 100.
No medicine will help that.
And surviving the 30mio. years to get to Kepler-452b needs some BIG medical advances.
Wonder who is the first to become shock-frosted to survive that trip. (I mean the first after Dr. Evil&Austin Powers ;-))

They're good at waddling.
