Hi There
I have seen that Eagle do sometimes not see when a pad/pads are not connected, I have two not connected but eagle say everthing was connected, this is not good, I do not trust eagle anymore for check connections, it may not happen..
Someone have this?

One trick I do (as form of insurance and double checking), is to turn off all layers, just leaving the airwire layers on. -- then see if anything shows up.
If you use the 'ratsnest' command, it will tell you how many airwires are left, and it will clean up redundant unrouted airwires between routed pads. Not sure why ERC/DRC wouldn't do that, but maybe it's some preference setting?

This is what I did, but it do not make eagle trustable, special when complicated pcb are make.
So I think it can be a program error, or as you said preference settings, I go look about it.

I have now eagle 7.4 lite to try, however ERC errors are not recognized, I can connect plus to min, collector to base and do a check, it says board is consistent.
This is not really nice, because making errors or forget a connection is very easy ruining the pcb.
If I do this with diptrace then it see the errors in realtime, so I can not make mistakes. The same for other pcb software. There is a bug in eagle I think.

You should report this to support: Contact our dedicated team for support | CadSoft EAGLE

hi kees52,
Eagle has been around for many, many years, do you really think what you are reporting are bugs? 😕
Perhaps the ratsnest command is used to report unconnected airwires.
Maybe ERC is for checking the schematic.
Maybe "board is consistent" actually means something different to your understanding.

Hi Greg
I have try delete traces and test, it is also consistent, has not to be happened because of missing connections..
But when i do use a example and delete a trace it give a error as espected, I think I have done something myself like have it approved earlyer, I do now I did because of small errors in past, but do not now how to undone it.
picture let see deleted traces but still it is consistent.

The consistency is just that all connections are the same in the schematic and the board. Whether those connections are routed into traces or just airwires on the board aren't considered.
As mentioned by others, the ratsnest command will tell you have many unrouted airwires you have and it doesn't show up in ERC. I don't think this is a bug, more like a deliberate choice on Cadsoft's part.

Eagle 7.4 do crash when move a component, dit try that more times, and crash every time when move a part.
Afcourse it is dutch but you now what it means.
I go delete eagle completely and also the old versions, see that it will do oke after that, I think there are
some older in register.

On the software I use picking up any track then pressing "q" finds the next track that is un-routed.
After that there is a DRC check for continuity that will also pick up un-routed tracks.
