desperately looking for a service manual/schematics of the amp section.

Ciao,
I've the same problem: an electrical surge at home destroyed something within my SUB-20A... that I bought some... 17 years ago (in 2003, but was perfectly working before this damned spark).
Now it's only hissing and bumbing :-(

I've opened it, but no visible problem: a diagram would help to check it with an oscilloscope...

Yes I dont think they release that sort of thing historically. I think you're only option is to send the plat amp back to them. It may be less to repair than you think though. Dynaudio supports their customers.
