I have a pair of Dynaudio Audience 50 speakers. At some point when in storage someone squashed one dome tweeter. When we wanted to use the speakers we found the damaged dome and tried to pull it out. It has come out but is dimpled a bit at two spots but worse is there is a long crease near the point where the voice coil is glued to the cone. That cannot be eradicated. Madisound doesn't have any Dynaudio replacement domes , nor the driver.
The tweeter is a D260 . Would anyone know where to get this . I believe they can be replaced with a Morel MDT32S . But I'd have to replace both drivers. Is this tweeter as good as the Dynaudio unit ? Must be less expensive ( $84/-) than the "replacement D260" tweeter I guess !
Or maybe the exercise in changing it isn't worth it. By the time I get the two spare MDT32S tweeters it will cost me half as much as a whole new speaker like the Dali Zensor3 etc.!

I would exchange only the faulty unit with one of comparable properties, test measure the original crossover and modify a bit to make it blend well. Exchanging both of the units seems unnecessary.
Thanks Lojzek for your suggestion. The MDT32S seems to be the closest match.
However I will think this over and determine if it's worth it. I have a few other good speakers and will have to figure out if its worth fixing. I'll be testing out the good and bad tweeter to see 'how bad' it really is !
