I need help in locating what may be unobtainium. Namely, a replacement power transformer for the original tube type Dyna preamplifier. I have one where there is an internal short and it gets hot while not putting out any voltage.
Can someone refer me to a source for these? Even a parts unit would help.

Try asking in the tubes category. I think everyone is out of stock because of Covid closures. Have you tried places like Triode etc…?
Yes they are out of stock as well. I am in touch with Dynakit and while they are also out of stock, there is some hope that will change.
Try edcor, this one is the one ? 330-0-330 12v 120 pri, cheaper than dyna too

Thanks but that one is overkill and probably wouldn't fit. This preamplifier has four 12AX7 tubes and they don't draw that kind of current. But you made me think about just how much current capability I need. If each triode draws 10 mA and there are eight of them, that's only 80 mA. I will take a look and see.

There's 100k or more plate resistors, and only 405V to to start. It can't possibly be 8mA. (Also 8mA on 12AX7 curves is way out of sight.)
By inspection of service diagram, total drain is like 5mA.
The heater provision is unusual.
