this is my first post in this forum, let me point out this board is not exactly dwm4070nv -i was searching news on that one..- the one in photo i see is the board of DDZ1A and Atomic5k and more... the neonoff member most surely did touch with probe of hist tester small through holes between CL1 and diode and got 0 ohm reading on display of course these are on same rails... by the way, i have read your previous posts on DDZ1A and you indicated driver ics in it are 21844 while i was thinking of 21834.. could you pls confirm.or suggest which one is the right one as these ones are scratched by manufacturer.....
thanks your clarification Perry and i have checked all the three ICs datasheets and found no differences between irs21844 and ir21844 if not for their release date on april 2006 this last one and on dec. 2006 the other...while 21834 has different functions on pins 1 and 2 being HIN and LIN respectively while 21844 has SD function on pin 2 -i guess giving chance of varying the shutdown time with an external circuit- and both HIN-LIN functions are jammed on pin 1 by using an internal gate u-processor (just guess)...now, i have seen 21834s being used on other amps control/driver boards (italian brands amps but far-east made of course) and i was gonna order that 21834s while i got your info on early august thread and ...here we are.. thnks again i will switch part in 21844s as the one marked U7 in DDZ1A i am looking to fix got pin 12 shorted as 5 output p360lc got blown... being 4 pair each bank of the amp and 1pair + 1pz of the blown side are still good do you suggest to replace the 4pairs or 3 pairs could be enough? p.s. i'm sorry i am in Italy and most times my replies would be delayed...
The IC cannot withstand more than 20v across pins 13 and 15. Any capacitor rated for more than 20v should be OK.

Thank you Perry Babin for your answer.
I still have a question about wheezing in the sub.
Can you tell me how to start a new thread? Please

Click the car audio link near the top of the page. On that page, look at the left of the window. There is a button to start a new thread.
