Working on Denon DVD-2900 transport (in a McIntosh player
)and have it now working with CDs but still not DVDs. I have made tiny adjustments on both trimmers on the bottom of the laser unit, HOP-1200S, and don't want to move them until I know which one is for CD, and which is for DVD laser. As the CD portion is working fine again, I don't want to mess it up. This is a generic pic from the internet, but is the same as the one I am working on. I will probably just end up changing the laser unit but until I decide...thought I would give this a whirl.

I've never worked on these so can not advise on the basis of a picture but the HOP1200S pickup is mentioned often and is considered one of the worst and most failure prone pickups around.
