Dumb question about lamps and OHP's.

I've been doing a LOT of reading, and im sure this question has been answered somewhere...but I havent had any luck.

I did a few searches but nothing really answered my questions.

Instead of buying an expensive OHP with 4000+ lumen output...could I buy better bulbs for a cheaper OHP as long as they fit? Are different bulbs interchangeable?

Im using a 15" lcd in combination with whatever OHP i can get for a decent price. I just discovered this project and decided to give it a try. I ready that 4000+ lumens is optimal, but whats the LOWEST output you'd reccomend for a dark room?

Thanks in advance.

I believe that the enx and fxl bulbs are interchangeable but I have never tried. I think your best bet is to find a descent priced OHP and then try different bulbs out or even switch to a 250W mh setup. a lot of people here have done this and there is alot of info about doing it. But if you are using your PJ in a dark room like i am any ohp over 2000 lumen would work. I have a 3m 9200 that uses fxl bulbs and it works very well in a dark room.
