ok sorry if this is a stupid question, but nonetheless I need to ask this...
DScaler
- is it useful for projection, does it help to project better ?
I have an ATI all in wonder, I know that it doesnt work with DScaler but the website says it still work for the output - now that part I don't understand, does it mean the Dscaler will accept a video file and output it better?
But the software will not accept video files (I tried) so how can it help to output?
again sorry if this is a very very stupid question.

This is how Dscaler works:
Takes video in from video capture card (ATI All-in-wonder not supported)
Deinterlaces it
Sends video to normal video card (ATI works for this)
In theory, Dscaler can greatly improve video quality if you are feeding a source which accepts VGA/SVGA/XGA etc. Dscaler can also be used with HDTV Y/Pr/Cr inputs but only if you either have a video card that outputs it or a conversion circuit (RBGHV -> Progressive component video). I've used Dscaler and been impressed, but getting it to work stably can be a big pain, especially due to hardware issues. (Video clocks must be correct, TV card must be macrovision-free if you use DVD as input, etc etc) I had to buy 3 TV cards to get one that didn't do strange things with DVDs.

so it will not improve any video files or movies from my pc DVD rom ? but why does it say it will still support output?
