Driver Size 1" 2.5 or 3"

I am looking for a driver with excellent performance, I have seen TAD drivers made with Beryllium dome, and also BMS 4507ND coaxial drivers, but they are too expensive, and I plan to buy them in the future, but for now I am looking for a driver with good performance, I saw a 1" BMS 4528ND controller, and also a 3" Celestion CDX20-3020.

I have seen speaker manufacturers add 1" high frequency drivers to 15" woofers and I have also seen 3" high frequency drivers with 15" woofers.

Which driver would be the most recommended?
All I'm looking for is fidelity and precision.

For home Hi-Fi you can use a 1" compression driver with a 15" woofer and get good results. In pro audio I have rarely heard it work well.
I love the BMS coaxial compression drivers, but I use them on a 300Hz horn with 18" woofers in a large theater. More than needed for home use.

If this is your first build then I would look for a well proven design that you can build and will sound s pretty decent. Starting from scratch is a long journey.

I would search for Calpamos speaker, Econowave or Toid Soundstage 15 fir some ideas.
