Hello everyone, I am writing to get your opinion about a driver I would like to use with my chipamp. It is LM3886, and im going to use 8Ohm driver. The specifications of the driver are here: Visaton - Lautsprecher und Zubehör, Loudspeakers and Accessories It has medium SPL for guitar speaker (~93 at the frequencies you can get from guitar). The main reason why I intent to use this speaker is limited money available since it's price is about 30%.
Tell me what do you think!

Is that a tube driver you're wanting?
In this case, "driver" means "speaker".
Oops... I wrote 30% insted of 30$. Well you can suggest speakers as much as 2 times the price of this one. By the way, where I live it's hard to get such things as guitar speakers and I dont want to end up with hi-fi one.
You could probably get an OK eminance or celestion for about $50-$75 with a sensitivity in the 98db-102db range ..... It would be worth it just to have a speaker that is going to be 5x as loud not to mention sound better especially for an extra $20-$30 bucks ...... I have gone the cheap speaker route quite a few times and allways regretted it .....

Yes, with a Qts of 0.74 it is suitable for open back guitar cabinets and with an Le of 0.7 mH it will have good top end. Good choice if it is indeed cheaper for you.
Hi,
Bigger is always better generally, e.g. :
Celestion Truvox TF1215 12" 100W loudspeaker driver 8 Ohm 29.95 IN STOCK (29 Nov 2011)
rgds, sreten

Thank's I have also found another speaker which is a 12" one. Its just 10 dollars more expensive, but it is no-name so I cannot find full specification's. I know that it is 94db, frequency response is 40-15000, diameter of his coil is 38mm(1,52"). Here you can see it, but it is in Lithuanian GARSIAKALBIS PJ HL-W1223 4oM 305mm 300W RCL
Ooops... How to edit your post if it hasn't been approved yet? I have found spec's for that speaker I mentioned

For the same $30 price you can get a Weber 10 inch "signature series" speaker. This is a real guitar speaker and the sound is about right to put inside a Fender tweed type amp. They are made one at a time by hand in the US. The only real problem is the rather low 25W power handling.
If you need more power handling then look at either larger Weber or Eminance . Both brands are good values. But the Weber Signature series is a great deal if you have a lower powered amp
It has medium SPL for guitar speaker (~93 at the frequencies you can get from guitar).
Be careful with using guitar typical frequencies as effects pedals can create harmonics well above what the guitar can put out.
A full range speaker would work well.
I use a soft limter to create harmonics and it also has a treble boost control.
Sounds great.
