driver cut out question?

A 1/4 inch is quite a bit to play with.

What I did to shrink a hole in a pre-existing box was to get some edge banding (oak, maple etc usually has glue on one side to iron on with a household iron) and wind it in the hole until the size was right.

A good quantity of glue on the banding should help hold its shape.

If the banding protrudes a bit and you have a flush cut saw, that will help to give a finished edge.

Thanks for the reply...the salesman at PE said I would be fine as long as I center the driver creating just a 1/8" difference on all four sides, but I wanted to get an opinion from someone not trying to sell me the drivers.
