Dreams Come True (?): 8.4" SVGA LCD TV is only $100

I did a search here, and couldn't get any information. This means; we have a super cheap (~$100) , new hi-res baby. I think Lilliput will be death if this one has no stripping issues. 😉

Why ? Becuase this one is only $100, and has native SVGA resolution with 22 ms response time (Lilli had ~50 ms, if I remember right).

yeah thats pretty cheap. so cheap is hard to believe its really 800x600 native. Altough buying from ebay i feel confortable. If when it gets to you its not 800x600 native send it back to the vendor and request a refund. So who is going to buy this first to confirm this?

Don't worry about it... Because this is not a 15" LCD monitor, and we compare this one with Lilliput. And Lilliput's contrast ratio is ~200:1 (if I remember right). So competitor of this Super Screen lol is Lilliput, but not big LCD screens.

If you add the shipping and insurance they charge the final price is closer to 200 dollars. Not such a great deal afterall.

Where can i get a better price? I dont see that model anywhere else on ebay.

You're right. I made a mistake on the Euro conversion in the original link. It is 145 U.S.

Yes, SP-800 is 640x480. Shipping with DHL is 59$ as advertised. I did not investigate other shipping methods, customs is easier with DHL.

How much do you normally pay in duty tax for your country?

My duty tax here is 60% of declared value + shipping.
So you think there is less chance of being charged duty with dhl?

Normally it was 10% of the declared value for items less than
100$. But recently there is an additional charge of around 80Euro for TV and radio receivers.

Until now, none of the DHLs were stuck in customs..
