Does the hifonics thor VII & VIII use the same rail switching as hifonics zeus VIII

Hi, I have a quick question about the oldschool hifonics thor VII and thor VIII amplifiers. Do they have the same rail switching technology as the oldschool hifonc zeus VII and VIII amps used. Also what is the exact reason they used the rail switching technique . Thanks

It's used to be more efficient which requires less cooling, smaller sinks, etc.

I don't have anything on the thor amps you listed but if you can find a photo and see wires soldered to the transformer, it's a vari-power amp. The attached photo is a series 6 odin. You can see how the windings are tapped.
