Parts Express used to sell a DIY in-wall baffle, with flange and screen and all, but I don't see it any more. I recently revived a dream to make efficient in-walls, however some kind of professional looking baffle is required. (I am NOT going to make something home-brewed with cloth covers, for instance, nor would my wife tolerate that for one second).

Look for parts for ceiling mounted speakers. Thinking outside the box is also highly recommended. A nice decorative window screen, for example. As a DIYer you have a lot of options.

Actually your post makes me think of a vintage speaker review, where the front was a kind of decorative screen. The reviewer said several women said they were really attractive!
