I need to know if the Technics suv450 amplifier will take a Moving Magnet cartridge as input.

Guess it depends on which one. There are high output MC cartridges that will work fine on about any phono stage, but if you are asking if it can handle low output MC carts, probably not.
Preamps and receivers that can deal with low output MC cartridges usually tout that feature, and it would be labled on the front panel or selectable from the rear of the unit.

I don't think your model number is correct as I can't find it.
The older good Technics amplifiers do have MC inputs.

The cartridge is for a friend, and he gave me the Model number. I am certain it is correct because he read it off the amp whilst I was talking to him.
Unfortunately it is a low output MC cartridge which I was sent by mistake to renovate his Thorens TD160. I should have been getting an ortofon om40.
I think I will just have to go and see the amp.
