DLP projector angles

Hi people,

I'm new to the forum, but I already have a question about some projector stuff. I'm currently using a DLP projector for some unconventional applications, which means that the thing I'm trying to accomplish might not be as straightforward as it sounds.

Basically, I'm trying to have a beam projected parallel to the mounting surface (so with no upward incline, as most projectors do) into a custom lens setup. My current DLP projector does have an upward incline, and the DLP-lens-assembly does not really allow for a custom lens assembly to be inserted parallel to the mounting surface.

Are there any beamer models that do not project upwards but parallel, so that such a custom assembly could replace the existing lenses without introducing keystone? How do I find whether a specific model has this feature?

Alternatively, could I simply remove more of the structure to fit my lens assembly, or does the DLP really project in that specific direction, meaning I would lose light.

And to round things off: I am seeing artifacts which I think are my lamp and its reflector. Is there a way to get rid of this?
