Could anyone post a list of good websites to obtain parts from?
Or even better, AFFORDABLE parts? I started with the idea that I might be able to build my projector for under $250, but the cost of decent parts seems pretty high. Maybe I'm nuts, but a list of bargins seems like a good idea to me...

Why websites, try yellow pages? I was once addicted to just buying everything online. About 9 days ago when I walked into an electrical supply store in my city and got a 400 watt ballast for $60 that addiction ended. I paid no shipping, no brokerage fees just and I got it instantly. A good place to look for bulbs is in aquarium stores. Just tell them you want a 400w metal halide bulb with a colour temp around 5000-6500. If they don't have any see if they can order one for you. You WILL save money buying this way.
