I quickly whipped this one up yesterday evening... a unipivot arm from plexiglass and various bits and piece I had lying around the workshop.

Nice. How did you make the curved finger lift? No bias compensation? Was Cantus the inspiration?

The Cantus was in the back of my mind.

I still need to find solutions for a lifter system and bias system.

Curved finger lift were made by heating the tip with a heat gun and shaping it by hand - hot yes!!

Forgot the most important (jealous) question: how do you get such clean cuts in the acrylic?

The acrylic I use is protected by vinyl stick-on and I dont remove it until I am done. I cut the plastic with a "jig-saw" that is slowed down with a Variac so that it doesnt melt or rip it. After cutting I straigten the edges by sanding it on a piece of sandpaper placed on a flat surface. Easy.

I must admit that the counter weight also needs work. I am currently using an old brass buss-bar from a Mains DB Box. It gives me 1.8 grm tracking force on the dot. Also works as leveling weight by simply swinging it left or right...
