I am building a DIY DAC, tube phono pre, and tubed grounded grid tubed pre. The case is 8x14x17 There is a 1/4" wall to seperate the transformers from the audio section. Can I mount the DAC below the tubed phono pre? I was thinking of a switch that would shut one off while the other is in use.
Thanks

I don't think the Phono pre would interfere with the DAC, but the DAC may introduce noise into the Phono stage.
So, if you have a switch to turn it off when listening to your Analogue source you shouldn't have any problems.
Is the DAC itself in a separate screened box? If not this could help too?
Can you test it temporarily without drilling the case and mounting permanently to see what the noise (if any) is like?
Percy.

I am going to have a switch to choose which input is being powered. A screen would be hard to setup.
