I enjoy creating new and different things from those you see around, they are all handmade objects, no cnc machine has been used

I would like to make some plinths for Japanese TTs of the 70s / 80s with direct drive ... I think they are wonderful machines

Fantastic plinths, Is the round one in the first batch of photos using a Lenco and PTP?

yes, but the ptp base is not made of steel but I had it made of carbon. I wanted to experience the difference and I must say that I like it a lot

Hopefully after I finish my Lenco, I can move to my two Technics SP25. Those need something nice too.

They are starting to sound like Lays potato chips... Can't build just one! (as you've found out).

Interesting thread..... I have two that needs a new plinth ( TD125 and TTS3000), and another project that started out as a Teres, but's still left as a collection of parts....

Are these plinths mostly wood or ply? No CLDs, lead shot damping, - and all the other ideas that's been kicking around?... I'm seriously asking, - as too many ideas often has the result of nothing being done....😉

many plinths (some ptp6 and those of the Garrard) are in birch interspersed with soundproofing sheets .. I felt the differences with the type of material used. on the Garrard 301 the bamboo interspersed with birch proved to be the best, at least to my ears
