DIY piezo tweeter driver possible?

I have almost no idea what I'm doing, but the plan is to make a piezzo tweeter that would reside inside a quite narrow phase plug, and cover freqs. above 8k.
I have 10 piezo discs on the way, and a 3d printer to prototype. Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

Might be all breakup and ringing, but might also be just good enough for 8k+, if I can kill just some of those ringings.

Anyone has any experience with fabricating piezo tweeters from scratch or am I the first fool to try it?
