DIY in New York City

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if there are any local DIY clubs in New York City. I have been DIY'ing for a couple years, and would love to learn more from other experienced builders.

That being said, does anyone know of any groups/clubs in the area?

If not, would anyone be interested in starting such a group?

Thanks all,

Bryan

There are audio clubs in and around NYC, but the focus is not on DIY.

There are HARD CORE DIYers in the tri-state area. Some names (in no particular order) are Blackie Pagano, Dave Slagle, and Jeremy Epstein. Also, look for "blurbs" announcing NYC Noise, a GREAT event.

Add to that, Don Garber at Fi (brooklyn) if he is still doing that...

Blackie is on this forum, and has a shop in the city, as is JC Morrison (newsensor).

The Gotham audio Society has a swapmeet, I think in the spring in Manhattan... full of DIYers at that event...
