Hi to everyone,
I am using my Marantz CD80 with my DIY Nos 8*TDA1541A dac. When i am connecting them over I2S protocol with ordinary 20cm long cables, sounding far far better than spdif connection. Sounding more alive, ,3D, natural and ear friendly. Now, i wonder how can i make a high quality I2S cable? Any suggestion?
Thank you

I would use an existing type of cable / connector format that is designed for digital signaling. I would consider HDMI, CAT6 with RJ45 connectors (both with all four lines on one cable) or RG58 with BNC connectors (four cables, one line each). All of these cables can be bought assembled.
You'll have to look at electrical termination as well.
