disable oversampling

hi,
new here so please forgive my ignorance.
I've heard that the oversampling can be disabled on the tda1541.
My player is a Rotel 965bx.
Can this be done simply?

The oversampling takes place in the filter ahead of the DAC chip. You can't take the filter chip out, as it provides the clock for the CDP. If you make a new clock, you can remove the filter and jumper over its slot.

Then you have to redo the analog filter........
