Digital streamer as integrated part of a preamp

I find this thread very interesting, but also a bit too technical for me to grasp. I am puzzling with an idea to make a balanced preamp with an integrated DAC and Raspberry Pi while allowing 2-4 spdif inputs from other sources (tv, blue-ray etc.). My question is:

- Would it be possible to use the I2S signal from RPi with the S/PDIF 4:1 MUX/Receiver and allow switching between three spdif signals and the RPi?

- Could the output I2S signal be fed into the Opus DAC (something with no clock from the RPi?)?

- If this would work, is there an elegant way to power these devices? As I see it, I need two +7.5V (for Opus), +-(5-12)V (for 4:1 MUX), and +5V (~1A) for the RPi.

Any help is much appreciated!
