I recently bought a pair of Clements 308 di, but can't find any info about them. Has anyone seen those? What kind of power amp should I use to make the best of them?

Basic info

WxDxH = 10" x 12" x 42"

1" tweeter
8" woofer x 2

Sealed cabinet design

You can measure across the bass input or general input with a a multimeter. That will tell you the basic impedance. 4 or 8 ohms, I'd guess.

Unscrewing the lower bass unit will get you a glimpse of the crossover and wiring, which might give an estimate of how difficult the load is for an amplifier.

Most people here can make a guess just from a photo.

But I expect most amps will work well enough with these. Regular amps tend to struggle below 4 ohms.

I finally got a multimeter to measure the impedance. To my surprise, it is 5 ohms, a very strange number. I just measured the general inputs. The impedance specs found on the net is 6 ohms. I wonder if it will change with time. Or maybe mine is really 5 ohms.

With a usual multimeter across the general input you measure the low pass DC resistance. Impedance is the frequency dependent resistance. Depending on the crossover circuit the low pass impedance will stay higher than those 5 Ohms.

5 ohms DC is perfectly normal for a nominal 6-ohm loudspeaker (it will not change with time). Any amplifier will work fine with this loudspeaker.
