Difference between a straight TH and a tapered TH

If other things being equal (driver, size of box and power), how does the taper affect the gain and bandwidth of the TH?

And should a TH be stuffed?

For what it’s worth, my genuine Danley THMini’s and TH115’s are tapered with zero dampening material.
