I have built several Dacs using jlsounds USB to I2S front ends, very nice board. Also built a AK4493 DAC using their USB to I2S to their AK4493 board to their output stage using high quality separate psus. Fairly easy build with excellent sound for the money. No measurements though.
the boards seem fairly well designed, measurements would be nice tho..
did you compare this board to some ready made dacs? what was your expierence there? 🙂
i had Topping D10 and now Aune X8 , they are fairly low budget, fairly happy with the SQ of the Aune X8, but i just realized how much of a difference PCM vs DSD makes, and also the different reconstruction filters, so i have todo some comparisons 😀
