Deoxit, is this stuff really good or is there an alternative or cheaper just as good stuff about ? Thanks

It is great stuff, but you MUST use a cleaner (CO contact cleaner) to remove all traces after usage.

Yes, the Deoxit does just that - it dissolved oxides, and will continue if not removed.
If left in place it eventually dries to a film that makes contact situations worse than originally !.
1 - Deoxit.
2 - Co Contact Cleaner.
3 - Contact lubricant.

According to Deoxit instructions, it recommends after cleaning off the Deoxit D100L to apply Deoxit Gold G100L for corrosion protection plus providing a better contact.
