Hi all,
I have a chance of buying an old, half-working (I mean one channel OK, the other sucks) Denon PMA-720 amplifier. The only information I could find on internet is that it is presented in the Denon catalogue for 1989 and is probably 2x80 W. So I have the following questions for the community:
1. Does anybody in the forum have an experience with this amplifier - would you recommend it, is it worth the repairing effort, does it sound good, what can you compare it with from the newer amplifiers (I have Denon receiver DMA-585)?
2. Any specs: power, distortion, Class (A, A/B), noise figures (if any), frequency response? Is it MOSFET or bipolar, toroidal transformer or not? Good caps (probably need to change them after so long time in service...)?
3. Does anybody have the schematic or the service manual?
Thank you in advance...
P.
