Hello!
I got Denon PMa 520 amp. for free.....but it's looks like it has a dead transformer (primary winding shows no resistance reading) and when I connect it to 220 V secondary windings are silent.
1) How can I find similar transformer?
2) If transformer is dead could it mean that not only transformer is burnt out?(no visual defects)
3)Is there any way to check out vital parts to tell if they are ok?
Thank you!

Ok, I took some photos of inner parts and the transformer.
I also attached schematics of the amp.
Can I take transformer with 40V insted of original 37,2V (in schematics)?
Can I use laminated core transformer(shilded) insted of torodial?
I have very basic knowlege of eletronics so I would really appreciate your help.

It might be OK, but that extra 3V (6V total) could push a transistor or two over the edge. Was fuse F701 blown?
I got right now the same issue! transformer gone. Primary winding: open.
Please where can I find the spare part?

The transistors are rated at 160Volts so no problem there. There will be a thermal fuse inside the transformer, I suspect that has blown usually due to poor mains connection. Yes if the transformer will fit, use it.
