The dp 47f is very well built and, as most Denon products, very reliable. Can be a bit prone to acoustic feedback. Harder to rebuild or modify as the arm is electronicaly controlled and conected to the rest of of control system. Arm works well with Denons dl103 and also with Grado cartridges. Looks good to!

I've had one for a very long time and I still love it.
I usually remove the dust cover when I'm listening; that seemed to me to remove a veil in the sound that I always suspected (but never proved) was due to acoustic feedback.
Plus it's beautiful 🙂

I experienced the same thing with a different player, a Dual from the sixties. Back then (not the sixties but when I used the Dual) I used some Klipschorn copies. When I was turning up loud there was a significant difference, with and without cover, when feedback set in. At lower SPLs there was this "veil thing" you described.
