Denon 5803 AVR, odd microprocessor issue

Hi all, I've resoldered/repaired two boards in this beast. The left amp board and one other board that had bad connections. Those were successful in that now it doesn't go into protect mode anymore and it plays sound perfectly. However since that repair, it won't enter setup mode anymore. Without that, I can't set up my speaker configuration, delays, etc. I don't have the original remote control but I do have a Denon remote that has always worked well to enter setup. That remote is from my other Denon AVR, 3805 receiver and it can access setup on that unit just fine. So I don't believe the remote is at fault. Best I can tell, there is no way to enter setup mode without the remote, using the front panel buttons. Is there??
I've reinitialized the microprocessor and still no joy. I was very careful during the repairs and don't think I did any damage, which of course I may have done. I just would like to ask the forum here if I'm missing anything, or not thinking of something? Is it possible to enter setup without the remote? I'd love to try it. In the manual it states that setup mode won't work in "Video ON" mode and I've checked that.
Does anyone know if I've got a wrong setting or where I can look in this massive unit?
I've attached the owners manual and the service manual is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/112EYVPd3KpZl0yO0r2oGS4W4aes3_RsP/view?usp=sharing
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any ideas!

In case this helps someone down the line, I've discovered that the 5803 only displays the setup menu "on-screen", through the monitor output. Not on the unit's front panel display. I was confused because my Denon AVR 3805 DOES display the setup menu on the front panel...but it's two years newer, so I guess Denon changed the protocol during that time. So my issue is solved.
