Re: Dell E153FP 15"? Will it work?
I ripped a Dell E151FP 15" LCD, and I recieved a FFC extention cable (jumper) and connector from mouser.com today. Thus, I tried today and figured out a solder-free DIY extension FFC cable, and it worked very well. I don't think you should have problem with E153FP.

But, how does the case come off?
There are no screws other than the ones holding the stand. How do I get the cover off? I got the monitor new and I don't want to destroy it. Any help or advice on using this lcd for a projector would really be appriciated!

Re: But, how does the case come off?
I was wondering the same thing. Then I realized that you have to pry it off... start prying and you will see tabs between the two plastic cases. Then twist your screwdriver HARD for each tab. I ended up denting the plastic a little... but I guess no way around that
(I tried using paper wrapped around the screwdriver head with no luck)
