Hi,
i have built the Rod Elliot Project 113 HPA and now would like to have a simple delay and DC protect for it.
Please suggest to me simple DC Protect and Delay.
By simple i mean with common components and through hole parts.

The question I have is - what's the maximum voltage it protects? 200V?
Most tube amps could do with this but I'm always conscious of DIY parts not being developed for 200+V and something like 1-4kV isolation just to be sure.

The suggested relays are telco rated for 250V, 1000V isolation for 1 minute, 1500V surge.

A headphone amp exposing more than this on a user socket should probably not be in the house.

Hehe you’ll upset the electrostatic brigade!
Very true however I was thinking in case of isolation component failure. Also pcb track spacing etc.

It looks like in the case of tube amps this circuit wouldn't provide any DC offset protection, just the delay function. Most tube amps could do with this but I'm always conscious of DIY parts not being developed for 200+V and something like 1-4kV isolation just to be sure.
How off-topic can we get?
The ε12 muting / protect circuit will detect DC of any sort.
daemon123 did not build a tube amp.

"Amplifiers with a single supply, non virtual ground. Amplifiers in this category include the Millett Hybrid, YAHA and Szekeres. The ε12 provides muting delay functionality only. No DC offset protection is provided"
I was simply passing along information on the ε12. The thread is "Delay and DC protect for HPA ?", it's reasonable to believe someone interested in tube headphone amps may click on this thread. The post saves that person time.
