Hi Guys/Guru's...
I have de-tuned SMPS's before by changing the feedback resistor values but is it worth/possible to do when dropping one from 20V to 14V?
Does this compromise the design too much?
Thanks for your time

OK so I'm talking rubbish then........
I'm tight for space and would like to use this quality 20V DC SMPS...so what regulation schematic would you recomend to run after it then? There seems to be a lot out there but trying to find the cleanest supply for audio is confusing to say the least.
Any help is always very welcome.......

Maybe not, you could try changing the upper leg of the resistor divider to change your voltage, but I'm not 100% sure. You may have an issuse with Ton of the switch being too small (or nothing). But aging, I'm not 100% sure, always worth a try.
Thanks for the reply Sir, I'll have a go...nothing to loose I suppose?
I have just read an article that says that an SMPS followed by a low drop-out rectification stage is probably a very good solution for audio..... Not that I would know where to start on it specification...
Love you're handle by the way 😀

I was the only one that was free and that I could think of and it also goes by the old saying "Live and learn"
😀
Worst case is you'll kill the smps and have to fix it before proceding on altering it.
